IntelliCAS is a unique Certificate Authentication System by which the certificates like mark sheets, degree certificates, transfer certificates etc issued to candidates by the university will be authenticated by a unique Global Access Code (GAC) printed on each certificate. Any one including prospective employers, universities offering admission and even parents can check the certificates for their authenticity by logging into the system using the unique GAC.

The GAC  is randomly generated, non-sequential and alpha-numeric and has the capacity to produce 131 quadrillion
(131,621,703,842,267,000) codes per prefix which makes it extremely difficult for any one to break the code and hence is highly secure. Once the user logs on to www.annauniv.ac.in using the GAC printed on top of the certificate, intelliCAS generates the image of the certificate in real time and displays the complete details of the certificate on screen.

The code generation engine is based on the same components that are used for on-line banking transactions.The system thus provides authenticity and validates the certificates issued by the university for its genuineness.

Anna University Coimbatore has become the first university in the world to deploy such a path breaking system to ensure that certificates issued are genuine and cannot be faked.
